All this talk of they didn't have the numbers is a lie.

They could have kept on sending Bush the same bill until he either signed it or gave up and brought the troops home--he had to do one or the other because he was running out of time. It was that simple. THEY WERE BEATING HIM!

But then politics entered the picture and doing what was morally correct and what they were voted into office to do went out the window.

All I hear from them is: "I don't want it to look like I don't support the troops." Oh, so you're more concerned with your image than bringing our people home so no more have to die or come back armless or legless or with their faces and fingers melted off.   That's SO brave! SO laudable!

What kind of support are we talking when we give Bush money to keep those guys over there!! If you support them, you declare the war unethical and illegal and YOU BRING THEM HOME!!! And you do it whatever way you can and if that means sending Bush a bill you know he'll veto then so be it. It was Bush running out of time.

Now he has a reprieve and a clap on the back of approval from the democratic Congress. All the while they whine and cry, "I didn't want to give him that money! Boo-hoo-hoo-hoo!" THEN DON'T FUCKING DO IT!!!!!!! What the FUCK?????????? What kind of people are these????

Why were they even bothering with the charade of sending Bush time tables if they had no intention of sticking to it???? What was the point?? To look stupid and spineless in front of the whole fucking world??? Because that is what they accomplished. They certainly got nothing else out of the deal other than their minimum wage hike--boy, they sure showed Bush on that one, didn't they?

They don't even have the balls to do what is inevitable anyway--chalk it up to a loss and bring em home.

I will NOT vote democratic in '08. We may as well have a republican president and Congress. At least I know what to expect from those sons of bitches. At least when they plunge the knife in, it's sticking out of my chest.
