Don I believe you are sincere in your views, but the question is a simple one. Why oh why did the Democrats not leave the ball in Bush's court...As Guest 282 ra said right at the beginning of this thread, their actions mean that they will in all probability inherit a war which they massively voted for.
They have also given Bush carte blanche to continue the war into next year. By withdrawing their bill, they make it clear to the world that the representatives of ALL the American people support this madness.
Also, you dont address the continuing slaughter which is being exacerbated by the presence of the invaders....Ake
