"Those in power on the left" in the US. Now who would they be? Do you really think all Democrats are "on the left"? Or even that Nancy Pelosi--one of the few Democrats who has some power-- is?

As our UK posters will probably confirm, the idea that there is a "Left" with any kind of power in the US is close to laughable.
