Georgiansilver - thank you for your good wishes.

A week of heavy training starts now... I've already spent a day wearing a vile pink baseball cap (stipulation to wear something pink and I don't think they meant just undies) to acclimatise my eyeballs - I usually wear a black cap, so all that pink is a bit scary at first. I'm also going to be hunting for a suitable bag to carry water in. I suspect that's going to be pink too.

Diet is an important factor so I'm loading up on slow energy release foods, with the occasional high energy boost - so that's chips and chocolate this week then! As for the singing bit - that's the easy stuff - shutting me up is the hard part!

I've already marked out the ice-cream vans en route, it looks like we'll be the right side of the river for the three best ones. If anyone would like to join us, you're more than welcome. We're starting at Tower Hill and going south over Tower Bridge, west along to London Bridge where we go north. South again over Southwark Bridge, past the Globe and at least one decent icecream van, down to the Millennium (Wobbly) Bridge, where I know we have a short sing, outside the Tate Modern. From there it's north via the Wobbly Bridge, to Blackfriars, where we turn south again, past the OXO Tower where the dodgy paving slabs are, along the South Bank, where the Coin St festival was this weekend. Here's where the second good icecream van is... Then it's across Waterloo Bridge, past the Houses of Parliament, south over the Golden Jubilee Bridge (formerly known as Hungerford Bridge) and then down to the London Eye where the best ever icecream van is, there's another little sing scheduled for here, and then over Westminster Bridge and into the nearest pub!

Any good wishes you can spare are most welcome, we're hoping it's going to be fine but not so hot as this weekend was!

Thanks again for your support.
