Guest AC.I've never considered myself overly emotional (some would disagree) but I DO consider that what these old musicians did, saved my life..or should I say "quality of life". Spending a half hour staring at Leadbelly's Stella in the rock and Roll Hall of fame, this February (while the rest of the conventioneers at the Folk Alliance were scoring the free lunch) was indeed a fine experience. Just soakin' it all up. I have very little tolerance for "folkmusic bizcrap", but I know what some of my best memories will be when I hit my death bed...having interacted (even slightly, and often indirectly) with the ones who played because they "had to".
A friend of mine got to play Gus Cannon's JUG! And busted the strap!! Holy sheeeit!
