Minimum an hour a day during weekdays......but sometimes a sum total of 3-4 hours a day.Weekends, at least 3 hours a day.
Basically my rule of thumb (no pun intended) when at home, is that if I am not eating, sleeping, on the computer, or spending time with the kids, I have a guitar in my hands.
Funny thing about fingerpicking though.
Almost seems like an athletic feat akin to working out a gym or equivalent.
If I miss a day or even a couple of days, it takes me the equivalent length of missed practise time ''to get back into it'', and get my ''grid'' and ''feel'' for right and left hands. And I always warm up for a minimum of an hour before attempting any recording.
