There was book read aloud on a children's programme on radio 4 called 'Because of Winn- Dixie' by Kate Decamillo. There's a CD of music from the film of the book with among other things, a song by the be Good Tanyas, but I don't know whether the plot (or any of the other songs on teh CD) correspond to the song you're seeing...
