Are the grandchildren still adding songs to the book?
I've no idea, but they are still singing the songs that have been handed down to them.
My understanding is that the collecting actually started in generations previous to Brassers book.
I'm sure they were singing and adding to their repertoire for generations. I'm not sure if that counts as collecting. As far as I know, Brasser was the first to write them down. Because I said my perspective of the Copper family only runs from Brasser into the foreseeable future am I "set in time"?
The point I was trying to make is that in this day and age, why not learn from books or recordings?
No reason at all, but if you've got the real thing on the front doorstep, isn't it better to learn it that way?
