I, myself, use top be a left wing social democrat - union representatives on the board, redistribution of wealth through progressive taxation, and (don't laugh), the House of Lords to be abolished and to be replaced by the Trades Union Congress. However, let's be frank.... the left has taken an ideological battering in the last 25 years, especially with the collapse of the communist block, from which it is struggling to recover. Socialist ideas have been superceded by single issue causes, ecology, and multi-culturalism. Working class politics is dead in the water. Those who fail to see it, fail to see it because they do not wish to see it. There is none so blind as those who wish to be blind.
