Charley, the sound at Lighthouse Point was perfect. Definitely the best quality ever, and expertly handled. You guys work really well as a team, and it makes a huge difference over having the board change hands every few hours. I agree with Jerry, you were a most adroit (and inconspicuous) microphone juggler!

Perhaps there was a lot of "me, me" stuff over the weekend, possibly due to some communication oversights and some people's inability to transition quickly from an expected situation to the new reality. What I meant by "behind the scenes" was that staff seems a little on edge, and that everyone in general seemed tired. Like I said before, that may be my own bias because I was drop-dead exhausted myself.

Overall, I thought it was an excellent festival in terms of quality, professionalism, and logistics. Joanie and the whole group that made the festival happen at all did a fantastic job. It was the joy that seemed to be missing, but we've had subdued festivals before, too. There was no accusation intended in my earlier comments. The weekend was not spiritually fulfilling for me personally; seeing some lifelong friends was lovely, but I didn't get what I went there for.
