Whether or not our local pub closes is to an extent up to us - use it or lose it. Like it or not, the restriction on smoking indoors is coming (has come already here in Wales). So make a point of going to the pub more often than before (great excuse!) and keep the pub going. Don't just go for the weekly sing, go on nights in between. And buy the pub's beer, don't sneak in a few cans from the offie. Or sit at home whining about erosion of freedom and let the pub close. Your call.
