ya got me worried there, McGrath, so I measured the space by moving the second-last volume (the biggest) into the space & it just fits. phew.

Surely the latest volume can't be bigger?

Anyway, I can move one series of Andre Norton books to the shelf below which contains most of her books cos there is room for it.

Told ya I had very little space in my bookshelves!
