I saw that as well - in fact I watched the whole programme with tears in my eyes. And they've just started again.   By 'eck I'm a sentimental awd booger.

It wasn't actually unaccompanied: there was an electric piano or something I think. I thought it was going to be excruciatingly awful but turned out to be excellent - and she can't 'arf sing, that girl.

Prince Andrew (and the Rear Admiral next to him - was it Sandy Woodward?) trying to march and then forgetting to salute his big bro gave the biggest laugh of the afternoon.

All in all, excellent and moving coverage - and a brilliant idea to link it up to a ceremony in the Falklands at the same time. The image of that poppy wreath at the water's edge will stay with me for a long time and will also, I suspect, be much used on TV.
