You already know I love that album but in case I haven't added the following details, I'll do so here.

"After the Dance" like "Letter from Lilac Acres" have great lyrics but what really makes them hit down deep is the fiddle playing the waltz time melodies. The music itself is enough to get you teared-up and the lyrics finish the job. I think "After the Dance" is a masterpiece of metaphorical description of the passage of life and the lives of those who interact and then pass on to be replaced by others.
