Not only did I work with Barrie, I shared his life for a few short years. I well remember folk nights at the Fitters Arms with many of the guest singers returning to Florence Street and usually talking into the early hours of the morning. I drove him to many folk clubs around England and Wales and even performed with him a few times, definitely a privilege. Although we only kept in touch sporadically in the intervening years I visited him in hospital only a few weeks ago and had a long chat.

Barrie you will be sadly missed.
