And nor do I have any problem with people not smoking in confined spaces such as folk clubs, restaurants etc.

But, like most people, I do have a problem with people smoking in such places. And we won't from July 1st, and for that I am very grateful.

In fact I'm looking forward to having a smoke-free celebratory drink on that day. And I suggest that people who welcome the ban should make a point of doing so, including especially the many people who have felt reluctant to go into pubs because of the smoke.
