The story I have is that the "Who The **** Is Alice" version was the responsibility of one Roy 'Chubby' Brown , an alternative comedian in UK - It used to very popular at Late Night Discos , and we used to do the song absolutely straight , as a sort of Cod C&W song , and let the audience do what they wanted in the gaps . It always went down well , oddly enough !
