I'm in Ruislip (actually South Ruislip, North West of London - about half an hour's drive from Chesham (George and Vanessa Papavgeris) and 45 minutes drive from the centre of London (in the opposite direction).

Ruislip's a good place to get to other places from - 10 minutes from the M25 (London Orbital motorway), 15 minutes or so from the M1 and 5 minutes from the M40.

I think that says it all - a good place to get away from. Although it does have a 12th Century church and was mentioned in the Doomsday book!
