I live in a village called Hensall about 7 miles south of Selby, North Yorkshire, (and in the shadow of Eggborough power station). I'm very close to the East Yorks border as the next village along is in it. We are also only about 3 miles from West Yorkshire and about 5 from South Yorkshire. We're the bottom end of the Vale of York (York's 22 miles away) and it is low lying and flat. The river Aire is just under a mile away.

As I always describe it - the pimple on the bottom of North Yorkshire. Look at the shape of the county and you'll see what i mean.

Sorcha, I think I went to Cheyenne about 15 years ago. We have friends who live in Saratoga.
