sat at an open air gig in the backyard of a pub last weekend..

sun was fierce enough to need to sit at a table under a parasol..



..totally surrounded by gormlessly oblivious ill seedy looking chain smokers
and wrinkly druggies smoking spliffs..


some of them had their young kids and toddlers jammed in amongst them..


the new pub restrictions are not positive & protective enough..

i'd have voted for a total ban on any smoking in all pub premises
including yards, gardens,
and within a stricly enforced wide area
surrounding all entrances and exits..
