I usually just use "Ctl-F" for find. Actually, in Word, I hardly ever open Find without planning to do some replacing, so it's usually "Alt-E E" there.

In Word, Ctl-F9 is one of my favorites, but that gets complicated to explain so I'll refer you to the Help file (look up "Field").

A simplistic example:

If you type an equation, including an extra "=" at the beginning of the right side,

A = =(4*9)^3

Select the =(4*9)^3, and hit "Ctl-F9," when you hit "F9" again you get the answer:

A = 46656

[that's 36 cubed]

Who needs a calculator?
