Subject: RE: Help: Real name or Mudcat name?
Hi everyone. I enjoyed a few of the recent threads so much that I decided to join and stop being the 'guest in York' whose posts were about local folk radio (which, by the way, will return to Radio York, though we don't now whether it wil be any good).

My mudcat name means traveller or foreigner and I'm a late-starter and slow-learner on guitar and mandolin.

Anyone around Yorks. who'd like to get together to play and sing songs from some songbooks (such as Doc Watson, Woody Guthrie, Ed Pickford, Jean Ritchie, Johnny Cash, Appalachian ballads both Sharp and Niles and various others), please send a pm!
