As a web developer, I'm kind of intrigued with the thing. I have
AT&T service, and have been quite happy with that, except for the
data transfer speed, which will be a problem for the iPhone as
well. More so.

I use an older Motorola MPX220 phone, which runs Windows Mobile
and serves nicely to synchronize my calendars and contacts between
phone and home and office computers. It also has a version of
Internet Explorer; great for checking the weather (frequently)
shopping at Amazon (occasionally) and looking up phone numbers
on Whitepages.com, all of which have mobile-phone specific web
sites.

I envy the larger more full-function display of the iPhone. I'm
disappointed that the iPhone doesn't have GPS capability, which
would enable all sorts of cool 'personal assistant' capabilities.
Also, the display may be somewhat useless unless AT&T gets their
data throughput capabilities in order.

I can play mp3's on my MPX220, now. I guess the iPhone won't
be its replacement.
