I don't understand why there is so much controversy about how the voice sounds, it sounds how you sing, I have issues with english people singing with an irish accent, Estuary english speakers dropping aitches and ferrel kids from cleckheaton singing with an American accent, so sing in YOUR vernacular accent, be yourself. Don't have a problem with Arctic Monkeys, they are from Sheffield, you can ear it as soon as e opens is gob. It is interesting to know how people sang but I have no wish to copy them as I have no wish to be an opera singer, I sing for my own pleasure, if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't do it.
