PFR, hope you haven't suffered as I did from a family who said 'You can't sing, you sound like an old crow!', it took years and an encounter with Pete Seeger to make me see otherwise.
After that I just opened my mouth and let it rip, and, yes, there were times when I sounded like someone else, Noel Coward on occasion, but what the hell, enjoy yourself is what it's all about.
