Another aspect of our crazy weather at present - this year's Gower Bike Ride, the largest fundraising event for the British Heart Foundation in Wales, was postponed because of severe weather warnings today (July 1st).

It's been perfect weather for cycling all day (cool, dry and overcast, with the sun breaking through from time to time). I feel really sorry for the 1,300+ cyclists who were planning to take part (and before you ask, I wasn't one of them).

When the ride is finally held, it'll probably either pour with rain or we'll have blazing sunshine, which is probably equally uncomfortable and dangerous. Predicting the weather is a dangerous business.
