JennieG & JennyO - you have the right idea.
Digital watches & clocks are so cheap that a spare one alongside the PC can be set to MudCat time.
Everything I buy these days seems to show the time - MP3 player, CD player, radio, camera, phone, car, PC, walking stick, Swiss Army knife, TV, Microwave etc. etc. etc. Sorry, forgot my alarm clock & wristwatch ..........
