Not anything to do with TV specifically ('cause I don't watch it so I can't comment) but one I hear on the radio often enough that it has to be on TV is "going forward". I take it that when people use the term they mean going forward in time. Well, have I missed the invention of something that allows one to go backward in time? Is it possible to go any way other than forward? Wouldn't "as time progresses" convey the same meaning without making the speaker sound like he just finished a crash course in the latest version of business newspeak?
