I have family in both Cavan and Fermanagh (well technically my wife does!) and home made boxty is the bizz but please do not let me be misunderstood - I will buy it it from the shop if I have to - cut thin(ish) and fried served with rashers and pudding- mmmmmm. My MIL who is from Cavan puts butter on it as well!!! I suppose if you are having a full irish fry up an additional spread of butter on your boxty is the least of your problems :0)
