I remember very vividly my father picking me up from what must have been some kind of preschool but it was way back before preschool days. He picked me up from whereever I was and sat me down on a huge rocking horse while he buttoned up my shoes (black patent leather ....) -- don't know where he was taking me but remember that day. Remember the house we had (would have been Germany at the time) - with our black Lab Drifty, having puppies and us going up and down the back stairs to see her.

And I remember when I was about five, a really vivid memory -- we lived in Egypt (my dad was in the British military and I was born there....) and there was a huge sandstorm coming through. My parents were both home and locked down the house but you could hear the wind howling outside ..... it was terrifying. Afterwards when my sister and I went out to play everything looked different. There was an old army truck that we kids used to play on and it was virtually buried in sand......
