At the age of 5, I went to Japan as a military dependant. The preparations involved 32 injections, all given in one morning. I can remember the room and the face of the nurse but not the faces of the 3 corpsmen who held me down. Before that, there's a screen memory (I think that's what they're called.) of looking through a chain link fence at some tulips.

At age 3, I mas given a ride on the back of a baby elephant. I know I was because I've seen the pictures - don't remember a thing about it, though.
