Jim Lad, I've just now read the thread you appear to be referring to (or at least the relevant part of it). I think you brought that one on yourself (sorry to say, because in many respects, I agree with you). It's just that you didn't pick your audience very well, and you made too many assumptions about those whom you were addressing.

You might find it productive to do a search on people's posting histories before making those kinds of broad sweeping generalizations about people. You have many more allies here in this forum than you seem to realize.
