There's now way I can be sure which of several memories came first. I know this one had to be very early. Apparently my sister, 6 years older, and I had just had a bath in the old galvanized washin' tub. Either my mother or sister said something about "parading around naked". I don't think I had sorted out how to speak in sentences yet.
I started chasing my sister around, patting her on her bare butt, saying (or trying to say) "naked parade, naked parade..."
    (God knows, it may have been a prophetic moment in more ways than one...)
