Subject: RE: Review: Skagen Festival
Despite everything that Ryanair and the weather could throw at us, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Skagen. I didn't really get much time to look into many of the concerts, but could hear quite a bit of them - lost count of the times we heard Whiskey in the Jar and I'll Tell Me Ma, not forgetting Wild Mountain Thyme.

There didn't seem to be anything we Brits would recognise as a fringe, but we morris men had some nice sessions in the musicians bar at the Harbour, at a historic hotel, and at a pub in town (before we were asked to desist!). And it was great to have Chas (Fidjit) playing along with us in the sessions.

Unfortunately the mini-Mudgather (me, Fidjit and bfdk) did not last very long, as Bente was hi-jacked by amorous mummers and we had to shoot off to dance elsewhere almost as soon as we had finished lunch. Must plan it better next time!
