Sonnet 28/10/05                         MXXVII

Have you been told how beautiful you are,
Today? The sight of you gives my heart cause
To dream, and wonder. Would you my dreams bar,
Or ask imagination to now pause?
Are you aware the impact of your eyes
Upon a weary soul? I dare not tell
The power you command: If I were wise,
I would seek to not be under your spell.
I dare not hold you: I could not let go,
Nor find words to say how you make me feel.
Yet, would it matter if I let you know
That dreams are more to me than what is real?
I look at you, and wish to more than dream:
But know I'd never loss of smile redeem.
