The poem beginning this thread is titled "The Marriage of Psyche," Kathleen Raine CBE.
See her "Collected Poems," 1935-1980, p. 67. It is not by Gavin Maxwell, adventurer, etc., and the grandson of the Duke of Northumberland. He used it as a frontispiece to his book and used a line from the poem as title to his book.
