That's like a love song that says...
"You're kinda pretty, I like you a little bit..."

A protest song should be loathing and disgust!

Not to denigrate the song, it's still a good song, but listen to "Follow Me to Carthage" by the Mammals. Same route, differet paths. Halfway between these two songs is the great one!
