As soon as sandal season starts, I've gotta rasp the thick callouses of my heel and the side of my big toe before they crack and start to rip away in deep painfull strips like hangnails. I can't believe the amount of grinding away I have to do on the soles of my feet regularly.

It never used to be like this.

Of course I used to run around barefoot a lot more. My soles were thicker then (I could run over gravel with no pain) but they never cracked and peeled and hurt like this.

Getting older sucks but I guess it's better than the alternative...
