I have a jar here of Jeeny's Tamarind Puree, which is a thick paste. All that is listed in the ingredients is tamarind puree (86%), water, salt. It is made in Penang, Malaysia by Jeenhuat Foodstuffs. Dunno if you can get that brand where you are.

I love the sweet and sour flavour of tamarind in food. Never had Woody's sauce though, but it sounds nice.
