I have never cared who wore socks with sandals and who didn't wear socks with sandals. I happen to most of the time. Today I'm not.

A few years back on a day I was wearing socks with sandals, a fellow said, "I'd sooner be caught dead than caught wearing socks with sandals." I replied, "It can be arranged." We moved onto other subjects.
