Well I can understand socks with Crocs. Crocs are made of a plasticy, rubbery material that doesn't absorb sweat. Socks are necessary with them if you have hot, sweaty feet, unless you don't mind slipping around, sticking to the shoe or getting blisters and other foot-type nasties. I wore a pair for a whole 10 minutes before they were slick with sweat and starting to rub.

Sandals should be made of natural, absorbent materials like leather.
