A permanent fixture? He's not exactly a positive representation of the human male, and it's nothing more than an advertisement. I don't like that they've done it (just another sign of how obsessed society is with the television and media) but I think the pagans are being a little bit extreme (read: lacking a sense of humour) with their objections.
(Please note, I do actually like the Simpsons):)
