Yes, I have memories of pushing vehicles off site and trying to explain to the drivers how to drive them...a lot of them had no clue whatsoever. I also have memories of people getting quite stroppy when we told them they couldn't bring their cars back on if they left the site..."But we're going to visit Auntie so and so" "But we're going out for a meal". (I also remember Essex girl being really apologetic because she needed to take Dave to the hospital....there are some things that are important)

The worst time during '97 was the Thursday when we had the whole of August's usual rainfall in about two hours. That was pretty heavy rain! That was when some people had to be evacuated from the site.

Let's just hope that what we've been having so far this year will ease off for Sidmouth
