How could I not still care for one who gave
A chance for hope and dream? Sound of your name
Offers a thought of joy: How can I save
My dreams, and not let you muse's due claim?
It matters to me that you are not well:
What might I do to aggravations ease?
Perhaps I am not quite under your spell,
But I would ever want to past muse please.
You are worthy of more than I might share,
Yet understand I offer you concern.
Perhaps in dream I might my desires dare,
But know I want to of happiness learn.
I know I have no chance to change your mind,
But might I means to give you one's smile find?
