I've probably mentioned this story of our pet raccoon several times already but maybe there are a few new people lurking about on this thread. Here's the current version:

We had overnight guests on our family farm in Maine and our parents had a pleasant evening entertaining them. Then my brother and I had introduced them to our half-grown pet raccoon. They were polite but not particularly enthusiastic about his attempts to amuse them. The raccoon's feelings were obviously hurt and we were somewhat puzzled by their reaction as well.

My brother and I decided that they needed more quality time with the raccoon. The raccoon was in full agreement. Early next morning we phased into their bedroom, lifted up the coverings at the foot of their bed and inserted stealth raccoon and withdrew. We were almost immediately gratified by two horrific screams.

Our guests were not amused. Neither were our parents.

My brother and I still chuckle over our prank.

The raccoon's great grandchildren are probably still telling the story to their children.
