Folks, I'm sure Bobert knows that you have to move the captured raccoon more than five miles from your house if you don't want a return guest.
I have to do a bit of seasonal raccoon relocation as well. I swear that somewhere on the property there's a little brass plaque with four or five crossed forks on it; the creatures love my place and tell their friends and great grandkits about it. When I have to relocate the beastie, I put 'em, trap and all in the back of my minivan and make an early morning trip through the back roads of the local farmland with the back speakers blaring the local university radio station (National Public Radio). That way, they usually get news broadcasts about government scandals, but once they got some modern music that rsembeled the soundtrack from some Stalin-era factory propaganda film. By the time I find some spot with good raccoon food potential that's as far away from houses as I can manage, they've probably got a splitting headache, and never want to hear the human voice again. then I tip them out with a stiff warning and slink off before somebody catches me.
