if you are traveling in the north carolina region this year on vacation,be sure to visit mt.airy,n.c.. every thursday night,the surry county arts council sponsors a jam session in the basement of the andy griffith play house,7:00pm-10:00pm edt.it's open to the public and all you have to do is bring your ax(musical instrument)or if you just want to sing,there are plenty of local musicians to perform your back-up. a grand time is had by all each and every thursday night. mark it on your calendar.... you will be a welcomed guest!!!!!
