I can remember walking down the High street, Fulford, York, in Yorkshire, England, and on the other side of the white line - the centre of the road, it was raining, and on the side where I was it was perfectly dry.
Theoretically there has to be a place where the rain is, and next to it a place where it is not - but it was rather weird to see it drawn so clearly on the ground.
I supose the edge was parallel to the direction of travel of the clouds producing the rain.
