The Simpsons has been one show that I consistently try to catch. I think it is brilliant and offers some of the best satire on television. The writing is sharp (even in these so called "declining" years), the plots are clever, and they have been one of the most innovative shows on television. They touch topics other shows are afraid to deal with and really hold up a mirror to our society. That might make some people uncomfortable, but for the rest of us the show is pure joy. I can only think of a few shows that I hold to such high esteem.

That said, I am afraid that the movie will not live up to the expectation. It is difficult to sustain that type of humor for a feature.
