Can I just point out that those who are opposed to abortion unconditionally, under all circumstances, are holding views as extreme and unpleasant as anything promoted by the BNP. When a pregnant woman's life is in danger, you do not have the right to insist on her death. To insist that a raped woman carry the child to term is inhuman. The argument is therefore only over the extent of abortion, and it is debatable whether legalisation has actually increased the number of abortions to any great extent.
